Sažetak
Additional efforts are needed in order to provide the broadband access on islands. The demographic and geographic characteristics are the reasons why there is no sufficient commercial interest for development of broadband networks on the islands. The plans for development of the broadband infrastructure and investments are based on the demand for broadband services. The publically available data are insufficient for reliable forecasting of the future broadband service demands and making good decisions on investments. Crowdsourcing and crowdsensing methods based approaches are promising. In this contribution we investigate the approaches for reliable broadband services demand forecasting in the ecosystem of islands.
