Sažetak
This paper deals with the translation procedures of cultural words. We can define culture as the way of life and its manifestations that are peculiar to community that uses a particular language. Dacha, tagliatelle, Gemütlichkeit are cultural words and one can expect a translation problem with these words, unless they overlap between the source and the target language. This paper examines different translation procedures (borrrowings, loan words, transcription, transliteration, adaptation etc.) of culture specific words in the Croatian-German dictonary in order to find out whether they can help to the dictionary users to find out what the real meanings of the cultural specific words are.
