Sažetak
Massive online open courses (MOOC) have attracted a lot of attention in the last few years what prompted various discussions and controversies regarding its influence on the education and studying in general. The number of various courses from different domains increases each day what proves that the popularity of this type of studying is in continuous growth. In these courses people can participate regardless their geographical location nor prior knowledge. In this article the specifics of MOOC have been listed, their features have been explored and the most known platforms of MOOC have been analyzed. A review of pedagogical impact is covered as well, along with differences between two major types of MOOCs.
