Sažetak
A dynamic technical and technological development of the modern world but also a communication handicap as a consequence of information and communication technology towards the younger generation has highlighted the problem of an adequate perception of technical and technological reality within a technical education in general, hence becoming an important problem in this area of teaching. A well planned, properly conducted and adequately evaluated professional excursion in teaching technical culture, as an important segment of experiential learning can mitigate but maybe even solve many of the problems encountered. Due to the organizational and time restrictions of implementing the professional excursion, it is important to implement this form of teaching within the curriculum core of the technical culture in the best possible way, in order to obtain the most acceptable effect of the same. In this regard, it was essential to determine which general objectives the implementation of a professional excursion were the most appropriate when teaching technical culture. Owing to the aforementioned criteria, research on the attitudes of technical culture teachers in relation to the importance of a professional excursion was carried out on a cluster pattern of these teachers(n=56) to learn individual general objectives and teaching as well. Although teachers emphasized the positive impact of a professional excursion in achieving the majority of their general technical culture objectives, the influence on connecting the material learned with the reality, interest and motivation of this particular field and the knowledge and understanding its content were particularly emphasized. Results indicate the importance of undertaking professional excursions as a motivational and unavoidable structural component of teaching technical culture, which largely determines the means of implementing excursions within the curriculum.
