Sažetak
The most important transport problems are often related to urban areas and take place when transport systems, for a variety of reasons, cannot satisfy the numerous requirements of urban mobility. Some problems are ancient, like congestion, while others are new like problem of parking, loss of public space or environmental impacts. Accordingly, in the theoretical part of this paper we are investigate and the elaborate modern problems of urban traffic, while in the practical part of the work we give an overview of concrete solutions to some of the problems of urban transport on the example of the city of Rijeka. Results of research also suggest guidelines for more efficient transport management in cities of similar size.
