Sažetak
The work is aimed to the improving the productivity of continuous casting machine (CCM) and the study of temperature fields and thermal stresses in the continuous casting ingot of the rectangular cross section. To improve productivity of CCM is proposed to use the principle of the local compression of the ingot with the liquid core before cutting. To calculate the temperature fields of continuous casting ingot along the length of CCM a mathematical model of the heat transfer on the basis of the numerical solution of the two- dimensional differential heat equation with boundary conditions of the third kind developed. Calculation of the thermal stresses in the solid shell of the continuous casting ingot with the liquid core was based on the known analytical solutions of the thermoelasticity. The obtained results can be used in practice to improve the existing CCM.
