Sažetak
Some astronomers and the journal Cosmology (2015), have suggested that the unusual light curve of the star KIC 8462852, reported by Boyajian et al (2015), might be evidence of an energy capturing "Dyson sphere" created by an advanced alien civilization. Others believe the root cause of KIC 8462852 peculiar transit pattern is likely due to natural phenomena such as a clump of comets. But let us suppose for the sake of argument that the signal is instead caused by an artificial megastructure aperiodically blocking the star's light. What would such a scenario entail and how could it be best explained applying Occam's razor?
