Sažetak
The aim of the paper is to analyse the renewal capital in the EU countries, following the framework proposed by Lin and Edvinsson, and to analyse its relationship with entrepreneurial activity. The EU countries strongly differ in the level of renewal capital. The results of the correlation analysis show that the renewal capital index is positively correlated with perceived opportunities and improvement-driven entrepreneurial activity in the EU countries. However, there was no significant correlation between the renewal capital index and new products that are offered in the market by the early-stage entrepreneurs. The results confirm that the European Union countries have problems in transferring renewal capital into new business activities.
