Sažetak
The paper describes advanced technique for the switchgear condition monitoring and power system asset management. Nowadays the condition based maintenance is becoming the main principle for achieving continuous, fault-free operation of the apparatus in power station. The usage of the Internet, fast data streaming and possibility of advanced data processing have introduced the new dimension into the intelligent maintenance. As monitoring systems, which are the basis of the condition based maintenance, collect large amount of data it is opportune to use all available data in order to assist in making important decisions. In the paper the simple example is given, which shows how measurement of the coil current and the main circuit current can give us insight into the inner state of the circuit breaker. By combining information about health condition of the equipment with the data about usage and load of the apparatus, the system is raised to the higher level. By adding advanced features for scheduling maintenance activities and tracing the flow of financial resources, advanced asset management system is obtained. Such system helps in the detection and prevention of the catastrophic failures, prepares the schedule of the maintenance activities and resources, reduces the time when the switchgear is out of order, decreases the costs and assists in the end of the life prediction of the switchgear equipment.
