Sažetak
The main task of this research was to find phraseological units in journalistic text, and to classify and examine their structural features. For the purpose of this research the articles from The Times and The New York Times were chosen as a source of PUs. It became evident that the use of PUs in journalistic texts is very common no matter the context of the articles. The most frequent type of PUs in articles are phrasal verbs because they convey a strong and a more explicit message, they are easily understood and draw the reader’s/listener’s attention.
