Sažetak
This paper presents an overview of constraints and design considerations encountered in the design process of an experimental compliant mechanism, and provides a summary of criteria that have to be taken into account in such a design process. An already existing mechanism configuration designed by the Swiss company Mecartex was used as a starting point and the final structure configuration is, in fact, a variation of the starting configuration. The operating principle of the mechanism is based on flexural hinges, i.e. on the localization of structural compliance.
