Sažetak
Heart failure (HF) is a common clinical condition associated with high morbidity and mortality rate despite the significant improvements in pharmacotherapy and implementation of medical procedures which have increased survival of these patients. It is known that patients with HF are at an increased risk of developing arterial and venous thrombosis which compound the high rate of adverse events and fatal outcomes. Many HF patients receive antithrombotic therapy routinely due to presence of a specific indication for their use like ischemic heart disease or atrial fibrillation.
