Sažetak
The aim of this paper is to define the shareholders perception of their status depending on the money they have invested and to realize what rights shareholders use in fact, with references to the rights and responsibilities they consider as most important. According to the rise of competition on the market, inherent struggle for rebellion, aspiration for being in gear and act throughout any kind of authorities in the firm, it is important to be acquainted with the opportunities and rights shareholders enclose. The fact is that despite the ubiquitous pressures on the capital market, the minority shareholders act as they are spared of the whole process to the final performance and that the only objective they aspire is the dividend. In addition to the initial stake, they are not doing anything to contribute to the business, nor do they show involving interest. Most of the shareholders are not aware of their rights, nor are they willing to acquire knowledge. It is hard to identify the optimal system that could function properly and fulfilling the interests of all stakeholders. However, the efficiency and satisfaction is guaranteed if the owners of the majority share packages are aware of the limits of their actions, and adhere to the principle that only the loyal conduct may contribute to the efficiency and general satisfaction. The results of this research will give the analysis of less abundance rights, the level of perception and differences between these two observed groups. Furthermore, the model for improvement the awareness of rights and responsibilities of some groups of shareholders in Croatia will be identified.
