Sažetak
The rise of new technologies and increased globalisation have resulted in the ever increasing need for greater intercultural communication as well as a good command of foreign languages, primarily English. From this intensified communication emerged a common, global culture which at the same time acknowledges and erases specific cultural differences. We therefore aim at showing not only how culture and society can influence language, but also how language can make changes in culture and the way people think. In doing so we also discuss the implications of these growing changes for LSP, stressing the importance of context-based teaching and learning.
