Sažetak
Acceleration is one method of meeting the educational needs of the gifted. The Curriculum for primary schools in Croatia states that acceleration is more demanding and sensitive method of fulfilling the needs of the gifted and talented students, and this relates to infrequency of its use, which is not in accordance with empirical findings on the acceleration as one of the organizationally simplest, cheapest and effective forms of work with the gifted.
