Sažetak
The paper presents the application of a form finding procedure aimed at the optimization of spatial structures, in order to obtain primarily compressive structural elements and minimize bending moments. In particular, the optimization has been accomplished based on the tension-compression analogy, using the force density method applied iteratively through the introduction of kinematic constraints. Additionally, obtained results are used to verify the applicability of a commercial structural analysis program (SAP 2000) for the solution of form finding problems.
