Sažetak
This paper explores the ways in which Conceptual Metaphor Theory (Lakoff and Johnson 1980) can be applied in cross-linguistic and translation research. The paper gives an overview of cross-linguistic and translation research of metaphor, focusing on theoretical and methodological, but also applied aspects. In addition, a new typology for metaphor translation analysis is presented, along with its potential application.
