Sažetak
In this paper a numerical algorithm for solving the forward and inverse Fourier transform of arbitrary transient functions is present-ed. These transient functions may be mathematical functions or measured transient waveforms. Both the forward and inverse Fou-rier integrals are solved by linearizing only a part of the Fourier integral over a set of time and frequency domain samples after which analytical integration can be performed to obtain the solution of the integral. The proposed algorithm, based on the finite element technique, represents a powerful tool for any frequency-domain-based transient analysis.
