Sažetak
76 energy audits in dairy and pig farms in 11 countries have been performed to find the potential for application of biogas solutions through identification of numbers of animals, amounts of renewable crops available for biogas production and amounts of available waste. Farm audits have also reported energy consumption data (where available) to assess the total consumption of each audited farm for providing recommendations for energy saving measures. Such measures include implementation of appropriate energy efficiency measures for each type of farm with purpose to reduce energy consumption prior to implementation of possible biogas plant. As it can be seen in the following chapters, the amount of electricity produced from calculated biogas plants would be around 412, 27 GWh which is significantly higher than the set objective of 33, 7 GWh. Also, CO2 emission reduction would amount to 344.334 tCO2 which is significantly higher than the set objective of 135.000 tCO2. These indicators show that the overall objective was fulfilled with outstanding results proving that biogas potential in audited farms surpasses expectations.
