Sažetak
The prevalence of degenarative rheumatic diseases (DRD) in a saraple of the population of SR Croatia (2424 persons aged from 48 to 67 years) was studied and analysed by raeans of computer. The symptoms of DRD were graded from 1 to 5. It was found that 26% of the men and 24% of the women had spondylarthrosis and 19% of the men and 24% of the.women arthroses of the peripheral joints (P<0, 001). 36% thern had one or both degenerative rheumatic diseases. The relations- hip of DRD and 272 other variables was also analysed. There was no significant correlation of DRD in relation to body height and weight. More DRD-s were diagosed in patients with chronic bronchitis, gastritis and colitis. Women with spondylarthorsis have more neuroses (P<0, 001), cistitis or ureth- ritis (P<0, 05) and chronic tonsilitis (P<0, 05). Arthroses were more often seen in patient with atherosclerosis (P<0, 01), var- ices cruris (P<0, 01) and in women with chronic coiitis (P<0, 001).
