Sažetak
Contemporary horticultural production requires great investment in equipment and machines which could reach up to 40-60% of total costs. Economical usage of mehanization is able to significantly achieve energy saving and reach competitive, also high quality product on market. Work effects fuel consumption and energy consumption used for treating an apple plantation are shown in this work. The research was conducted on an apple plantation which covers 13, 5 ha and is owned by a family farm „Baštica“. The machines using which the research was conducted is Sprayer Munckof Orchard 1000 and Mulcher Humus STO 230. All the machines in the experiment were attached to a Fendt 208 vineyarder tractor, used in vineyards and orchards. The results of the work have shown that the mulcher uses 1, 96 L ha-1 i.e. more fuel than the sprayer, which uses 1, 37 L ha-1. Energy consumption of the sprayer is 48 MJ ha-1, and the mulcher is 68, 74 MJ ha-1. The working effect of pesticides application is 0, 27 h ha-1 larger with the sprayer than with the mulcher which is 0, 45 h ha-1. Further research has shown that it takes 3, 65 h and 18, 5 liters of fuel for the application of pesticides throughout the whole orchard of 13, 5 hectars, when mulching on the other hand, requires 26, 46 liters of fuel and 6, 07 hours.
