Sažetak
Our programming system was developed during more than a year, tested and for the first time applied in processing of the data for the inquiries , , Study of prevalence of chronic bronchitis in SR Hrvatska" which took place in 1969. and 1972. The system processes the data by elementary statistical means, i. e. it computes the absolute and relative frequencies of simple and crossed discontinous variables (a simple variable means one question in the inquiry). On the base od these results a computer creates smaller clusters of tested persons and their data, which are suitable for more sophisticated statistical analysis. Our experience shows that this type of statistical analysis (analysis of variance, regression analysis, factor analysis) is scarcely aplicable to such a volume of data (more than 4000 persons with about 300 questions). Our programming system, due to the above mentioned reasons, is designed to give the general view of ali the variables, on which base one can come to conclusions concerning the type and data base of further processing. Conclusion We can say that our programming system is convenient for an elementary statistical analysis (the absolysis and relative frequencies, means and their standard deviations), but also for an automatic preparation of the data for further, more sophisticated statistical analysis.
