Sažetak
This article has been produced through active research within EU funded project tasked to implement recognition of non-formal and informal learning (RPL) to Croatian higher education, including all needed supporting mechanisms such as information system. Aforementioned project is part of wider national activities following recommendation of Council of European Union from December 2012, setting task of full implementation of RPL systems until 2018 in all EU member states. Research presented within this articles started from desk research of current state of play in RPL implementation across EU countries, following development of research questions and organization of survey in order to better understand requirements and attitudes of key national stakeholders. Main results of both research activities and specific stakeholder’s requirements supported by statistical analysis are presented within this article, following proposal of potential information system model. The model has been built following theoretical understandings, practical implementation achievements from other countries and specific national stakeholders’ requirements, and it consists of architectural recommendations, data model, and description of key “use cases”, all useful as a foundation of future RPL information system.
