Sažetak
Recent advances in development and validation of the decomposition model for naval hydrodynamics are presented in this study. The decomposition is twofold: solution decomposition is obtained from Spectral Wave Explicit Navier– Stokes Equations (SWENSE), while the domain decomposition is based on implicit relaxation zones. The combination of decomposition methods allows efficient wave modelling without wave reflection. Implicitly redistanced Level Set method is used for interface capturing. Proper implementation of pressure jump conditions at the interface is carried out, which resolves parasitic air velocities near the interface. Validation of the model is carried out on several test cases. 2D wave propagation and assessment of higher order forces on circular cylinder in regular waves are compared to fully non–linear potential flow solutions. Free surface flow over a 2D ramp and steady resistance of a container ship demonstrate improvements related to pressure jump conditions.
