Sažetak
Birch plywood panels have great importance in various transport applications due to excellent strength, surface hardness and creep resistance. Plywoods can combine attractive surface appearance with superior performance under hazardous conditions retaining comparatively high strength to weight ratios. Glass/polypropylene fabrics are used extensively as reinforcement in plywood composites. The object of this work is to determine the Surface Free Energy (SFE) of new developed wood composites as notable structural parameter. Thin layer wicking method for fabrics and contact angle method for composites were used to make analysis. Wu and Owens-Wendt theory were taken for SFE calculation.
