Sažetak
Policy management in the Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) and Long Term Evolution networks (LTE) is one of the fastest growing sectors of the telecommunication market. The complexity of Policy, Charging and Rules Function (PCRF) increases due to the demand for more sophisticated policy implementations and therefore performance testing becomes critically important for improving overall network reliability. The main goal was to develop software solution which could generate Diameter protocol messages following mathematical distributions towards targeted system and also do a statistical analysis on issued Diameter transactions in real time. The software solution presented in the thesis consists of three processes which work together as one application. Improvements over the Siemens CVC solution include possibility to do remote testing, real time traffic analysis and traffic generation following mathematical distributions.
