Sažetak
The main goal of the research conducted in this paper is to examine dynamic relationship of economic development and net outflow of foreign direct investments (FDI) using the example of the Republic of Croatia, the latest EU member country. The basic hypothesis of the paper states that there is a statistically significant relationship between net outflow of foreign direct investment and economic development, and that the Republic of Croatia is in the second phase of the investment development cycle. As a basis for the empirical analysis Dunning’s investment development cycle model was used. After conducting an empirical analysis the main hypothesis of the paper was confirmed.
