Sažetak
There were 69 patients with stricture of uretra treated at the Urology Department of General Hospital in Osijek in the period from 1972 to 1981. In this paper the patients arepresented according to their age group, localization, causes of stricture, surgical treatment and complications. The most frequent cause of stricture was inflamation (42 patients) while the posttraumatic stricture was found in 11 patients. Patrognical cause of stricture, and that after the prostatectomy was present in 12 cases. The authors prefer the marsupializational method with longitudinal stricures and the invaginational method with the back ones, 24 patients out of 69 developed complicationa. There were 13 restrictures and 2 narrowings of the proximal and distal opening of marsupialized uretra.
