Sažetak
Modern urban living is rapidly changing with new technological innovations. Every day most of the urban and suburban population use public transport such as buses, trams, trains, subways or boats. Passengers aren’t anymore anonymous travelers. Now they have become customers and require a seamless access to transport. A major role throughout the whole transport system playing the new system of eTicketing which must be secure and reliable. One of the widespread eTicketing technologies is Calypso open technology which can be defined as a set of technical specifications describing a fast and secure contactless transaction between a terminal and a portable device. The presentation will focus on Calypso electronic ticketing technology as a standard for a modern transport and new trends in smart ticketing schemes. Practical examples of eTicketing will be presented such as the project in Lower Normany region highlighting the usage of NFC technology and the Belgian MOBIB scheme as nationwide approach focusing on interoperability.
