Sažetak
The quality of textile and its evaluation is extremely complex subject especially if performance of textiles should be evaluated prior or after care procedures during usage [1, 2]. Although objective measurements and evaluation are now an integral part of the preparation, marketing and processing of many textile goods, they are still not in use for the used textiles, such as washed or dry- cleaned ones. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the influence of textile care, preferably washing, on the changes in morphological appearance (e.g. surface roughness ; cover factor) and corresponding properties (air permeability) of laundered fabrics through the usage of non-standardized testing procedures in which microscope image analysis and intensity of transmitted light are used [3]. The investigations were performed on washed (3x ; 25x) and unwashed samples of different raw material content and designated as G (CO/PES 1), A (CO 2), M (CO 1) and K (CO/PES 2). The obtained results shows that microscopic method offers the possibility of determining a number of quality parameters simultaneously, like the possibility of determining, both qualitatively and quantitatively, the differences among individual samples, regardless of their type (CO 1 ; CO 2 ; CO/PES 1 ; CO/PES 2) and the level of finishing applied to a particular sample (untreated sample, washed sample). Additionally, it is a non- destructive method of testing and could be adapted to quick on-line control of fabric quality.
