Sažetak
In this paper water related topics of Integrated Coastal Zone Management Plan for the Šibenik-Knin County in Croatia (ICZM Plan) is presented. The ICZM plan has been proposed as an effective tool to address climate variability and change impacts. The plan is focused on the impacts of climate change in the coastal zone and adaptation to the expected changes. The main objective of the ICZM Plan for the Šibenik-Knin County is to offer a platform for sustainable development of the Šibenik-Knin County coastal zone based on water as its fundamental resource, blue economy and smart specialization. The background work for the Plan identified the main climate-related challenges for the area. Based on these challenges and analyses of the existing development plans, strategies and water management plans, possible adaptation measures have been analysed and proposed, as well as solutions. In this work methodology, possible adaptation measures and proposed solutions are presented.
