Sažetak
A technique is proposed for predicting surge current by setting out from catalogue data related to forward characteristic and to transient thermal impedance for constant current (TTICC). With it an estimation was made of the surge current of one or several current pulses of sinusoidal waveform for some ten different diodes and thyristors. The results of the estimation were compared with catalogue data.
