Sažetak
The windings leakage magnetic flux is generally considered as the main cause of the additional losses that are measured in short circuited transformer. However, in some cases the additional losses originated from the high current loops can be very significant component of the total additional losses. The examples are the losses in the cover plate of the tank around the high-current bushings [1]. In a recent paper [2] it was reported that even the leakage magnetic flux around delta-connections could cause the additional losses from about several tens to one hundred kW. The authors claimed that some geometrical shapes of delta-connections (Fig.1) are more suitable in the sense of leakage fluxes than additional losses. There was emphasized that the connection in Fig.1-b) has about 2.5 times lower additional losses comparing to the connection in Fig.1-d). This conclusion has a great practical interest in transformer construction. It points that the losses in a transformer can be significantly diminished by a relatively small and cheap re-design of spatial position of delta-connections, what means indirectly a lower price. In the mentioned paper [2] it was not demonstrated what amount of a leakage magnetic flux can be associated with delta-connections and its relation to the leakage flux of the windings. Therefore we intend to investigate this problem more deeply by experimental and mathematical modelling. This paper had to be only an introductory part of a wider approach to the problem.
