Sažetak
Competition in the automotive industry imposes a constant improvement of vehicles and vehicle development process. Improvements can be achieved through innovations and optimization and by reducing development time and costs. In order to improve the vehicle suspension system development process, this research is focused on the use of the optimization methods in the conceptual phase of vehicle development. Even when considering only vehicle dynamics, vehicle must meet various requirements. These requirements are related to stability, handling and ride comfort and they are often conflicting. Thus, the task of the designer is to find a suitable compromise.
