Sažetak
In this paper the use of expert systems for the purpose of detection and elimination of faults in the technology of deep drawing is considered. The developed expert system can be described as a diagnosis system. The mentioned expert system works in off line mode. The expert is used in way that the selected sketch or photograph of the observed faults, suggest us the possible cause of the faults and the possible ways of the faults elimination. The most frequently causes of common problems can be grouped into the next groups of faults: thinning wall, crack, fracture, wrinkles on the edge or flange of cup, uneven top rim, surface defects, quality of product form. The evaluation function estimates the possible causes of the faults and suggests actions taking into account the folowing criteria: price the product, time of use, level of disturbing technological process, and standardization of tool parts and technological parameters. The expert system can eliminatethe observed faults in three groups of actions. The actions can be related to workpiece material, tool, technological parameters and to their interactions.
