Sažetak
The numerical analysis of stresses, strains and displacements across the wall thickness of a thick-walled pressure vessel or a thick-walled pipe will be considered in this contribution. Properties of a realistic visco-elastic material will be used. Therefore, any component of strain at a given point of the pressure vessel is composed of elastic and creep strain. The analysis of stress distribution will be carried out numerically by means of the Finite Element Method under the assumption of small strains. Thereby, the program package Abaqus will be used. The solutions will be compared by an analytical solution, where it is assumed that a thick-walled vessel is in the conditions of steady-state creep. The numerical solutions will be verified by using a power-law model, and results will be presented in the form of diagrams.
