Sažetak
Main goal of this paper is a comparison of recuperative and evaporative condenser with identical heat efficiencies at different operating conditions. Entropy production and exergy destruction is chosen as criteria of the comparison. In the recuperative condenser a stream of cold air is used to condense a stream of water vapor flowing through the pipes. In this case, outlet air temperature is defined by means of heat efficiency because there is no change in absolute humidity. In evaporative condenser, cold air flows over wetted pipes receiving the sensible and the latent heat resulting in air temperature and humidity change. Regarding irreversibility this leads to a complicated analysis problem because the partial pressure of water vapour in cold air is rising although the overall pressure remains unchanged.
