Sažetak
In dentistry thermography is unique diagnosis method because it enables quantitative and quality estimate which in systematic way helps evaluated the level and advance of the illness. In dentistry it can be applied for diagnosing and monitoring chronic orofacial pain patients, and patients with TMJ disorders including the estimation of tooth pulp inflammation, monitoring postoperative surgical inflammation, quantification of the efficiency of analgesics and anti-inflammation drugs, the diagnosis of myofascial symptoms and in vivo qualification of the applied method i.e. laser in soft tissue or bone surgery. Along with the innovations and accomplishments of the new devices and equipment, thermography is considered a unique research tool in dentistry.
