Sažetak
In this chapter, the relationship between absorptive capacity and knowledge management is discussed. First, conceptual foundations of knowledge management, dynamic capabilities and absorptive capacity are presented. Since dynamic capabilities are knowledge-based by nature, absorptive capabilities can be viewed as part of the knowledge process capability, that covers knowledge management activities of acquiring, converting, applying and protecting knowledge resources. Implications for linking absorptive capacity to knowledge management are presented and discussed further, and can be used as a basis for developing a model that integrates absorptive capacity into knowledge management framework.
