Sažetak
An attractive feature of the distribution function, which uses relatively simple expression for approximating probability density, is presented. The Pearson-type I distribution function is used to represent the molecular mass distribution (MMD) function for polymers for which the number average, Mn, weight average, Mw, z-average, Mz, and z+1 average, Mz+1, values are available. Consequently, estimations of the different molecular mass average values (i.e. Mn, Mw, Mz and Mz+1, respectively), are performed from experimentally determined MMD, proposing the Pearson-type I function as a model MMD function, fitting the model parameters, using nonlinear regression.
