Sažetak
The youngest Nature park in Croatia, Lastovo Archipelago, is located in the region of Dalmatia (south Croatia) and occupies the area of 195.83 km2. Lastovo Island is the largest and the only one permanently inhabited island of the Archipelago. According to the climate classification by Koppen, it belongs to the Mediterranean climate with warm to hot, dry summers and cool, wet winters (Csa). The average amount of precipitation is 691 mm/y and average temperature is 15 °. The main part of Lastovo Island lies on Jurassic limestone and is a part of the Dinaric karst. The inventory survey of the flora in the Archipelago was carried out in order to update of Park’s vascular flora list after its establishment in September 2006. During the spring and early autumn in 2007, 25 localities on the Lastovo Island were explored and 418 species from 75 families were recorded. The most frequent families are Fbaceae with 59, Asteraceae s.l. with 56 and Poaceae with 40 recorded taxa, which is in accordance to families’ ratios for flora of Dalmatian islands. Among all life forms the most frequent are therophyta (43, 78%) and hemichryptophyta (25, 36%). The high ratio of Fabaceae family and therophyta reflects antrophogenic influence. The research reported 22 taxa (three CR, three EN, three VU, six NT, four LC and three DD) from The Red List of Threatened Plants and Animals of Croatia (2004). Furthermore, according to The 2005 Nature Protection Act, 52 plant taxa are protected and 24 are strictly protected. Moreover, it is important to mention Bisserula pelecinus L. subsp. Dalmatica Trinajstić as the stenoendemic plant on the Latovo Island together with interesting recent records for Croatia ; species Anagyris foetida L. (second recent record) and Narcissus serotinus L. (third recent record).
