Sažetak
THE AIM Of THE RESEARCH: in this research an attempt has been made in order to establish and prove the infIuence of Tauredon on the factors of humoral immunity and on some clinical parameters in patients with RA. PATIENTS AND METHODS: Turedon has been applied in the usual way of administration to 43 patients with RA. During the last six months before joining the therapeutic experiment not one of the examinees receive neither slow acting drugs nor corticosteroids. During these six mohths as well as during the time of therapeutic experiment the examenees were taking only NSAIDs. The control group was made up of 37 patients with RA. Due to the nature of their illness they were uslng only NSAIDsdurlng the Las t six months as well as during the time when the laboratory research was underway. The laboratory and clinical parameters were being obsereved every month during the six months period. RESULTS: after the continual six months observation of the laboratory parameters in the "Examinees" gold had considerably influenced the dymanics: of erythrocyte sedi- mentation rate (P< 0.001) ; of the Level of haemoglobin (P<O.017) ; of sheep-cell aglutination titre (P<O.05) ; of the level of immunoglobulins: 19( ; (P<O.OO71, 19A (?<O.OC) and 19M (P<O.OOl) in the serum ; of C3 ( P= 0.006). CRP (P<O.05l, ClC IgM (P= 0.006). from the observed clinical parameters it has been established that among the "Esaminees" during the six month of gold therapy significant difference appeared between: Ritchie's index (P<O.OOl) ; the rate of PIP joints (for the left hand P<O.05, and for the right hand P<O.OOl) ; and the duration of morning stiffness (P<O.OOl) . The side- effects were mostly thrombocytopenia (20.8%) serious exacerbation diseases 06.6%), thrombocytosis and dermatitis (12 .5%), The frequency of oceuranee of the side-effects was greater during the first 04.C%) and the second 01.6%) month of chrysotherapy, then during the third (14.6%) and the fourth month (2.3%), CONCLUSION: the research has proved that there is a signif1cant effect of gold on laboratory and clinical parameters in patients with RA.
