Sažetak
This paper deals with the idioms in TV series Friends. The main parts of the paper are: the history of phraseology in general, a brief history of English phraseology and its development, the analysis of idioms, i.e their classification according to S. Fiedler’s approach. The aim of the paper was to classify idioms noted in Friends according to Sabine Fiedler’s compilation of classifications and to identify their etymology.
