Sažetak
The development of an off-line expert system prototype dedicated to quality defect diagnosis in deep drawing technology is described. Database creating (materials, standardised tool parts, tool geometry, technological parameters), database search strategy (depth-first search, breadth-first search, shortcut search), defining of logical relationships (ways of reasoning, errors in reasoning) and reasoning systems reliability are outlined. The diagnosis of an observed defect or failure (by image perception and verbal explanation), using a set of rules, gives the expert system user an insight into the potential classified and graded faults. After the multilevel validation of potential causes of the observed faults (the standardised performances of a material and the parts of a tool, model of stress evaluation9 the expert system chooses the solution which is based on the greatest probability of the evaluation function.
