Sažetak
The development of an off-line expert system prototype dedicated to quality defect diagnosis in deep drawing technology is described. Database creating (materials, standardised tool parts, tool geometry, technological parameters), database search strategy (depth-first search, breadth-first search, shortcut search), defining of logical relationships (ways of reasoning, errors in reasoning) and reasoning system reliability are outlined. The diagnosis of an observed defect or failure 8by image perception and verbal explanation), using a set of rules, gives the expert system user an insight into the potential classified and graded faults. After the multilevel validation of potential causes of the observed faults (the standardised performance of a material and the parts of a tool, model of stress evaluation) the expert system chooses the solution which is based on the geatest probability of the evaluation function.
