Sažetak
This research tries to determine the difference between two forms of the physical therapy, as regards their efficiency, in treating painful shoulder syndrome. The research comprised 64 patients, divided in two group s : A. The first group eomprised 33 patients (16 women and 17 men). Their average age was 49.3 years. They were treated by 10 ultrasound proeedures with ultrasound therapy, applied by a nobil technique, intensity 1.0 W/em , in duration of five minutes eaeh. B. The second group comprised 31 patients (14 women and 17 men). Their average age was 48.1 years. They were treated by 10 sonophoresis (diclofenac gel) proeedures with ultrasound applied by mobil technique, intensity 1_0 W/cm , in duration of five minutes each. The difference in efficiency regarding both procedures were observed on the basis of objective, measurable parameters (abduction, anteflexion, retroflexion, outer and inner rotation) as wellas in view of anamnestic terms (pain by VOS) recorded before the treatment started and after the application of 10 therapeutic procedures. Conelusion: The statistics resuits of data processing showed significant difference in efficiency regarding the objective parameter (retroflexion) and anamnestic parameter (pain). Sonophoresis by diclofenac gel being more efficient.
