Sažetak
The city public transport investments are natural part of transport planning and sstainable development. The growth of the cities bring new challenges for city public transport to meet the transport demand. The paper discusses the general factors, which shall be mainly considered when the current city public transport service isn’t sufficient anymore. The goal of the upcoming analysis is to find the solution bringing highest benefits to the sociaty respecting all the individuals effects. This paper contains the building of tram tracks, trolleybus track and the situation, when bus service is still acceptable under upcoming conditions and traffic flow. This types of public service modes is typical for the middle cities from approximately 50, 000 to 500, 000 inhabitants. The situation can be also used in parts of bigger cities or conurbation, when the total amount of inhabitants in affected area doesn’t exceed the value of approximately 500, 000.
