Sažetak
The invited presentation was focused on the socio-economic and youth unemployment issues as the two highest concerns of EU citizens. Creating jobs for young people should be one of the highest EU priorities during the next few years. Trust of citizens in national institutions versus trust in EU institutions was also addressed with the conclusion that trust in national institutions is often lower than the latter. The need to improve the investment climate in the EU, and to make the Union more attractive was addressed in the context of Commission financial package which will start being implemented during Latvian Presidency.
