Sažetak
The present Natura 2000 network has the Habitats Directive (EU 1992) and the Birds Directive (EU 1979) as the legal basis in the European Union (EU) and is recognized as one of the most powerful conservation policy tools in the world. The authors largely agree that now is not the time for amendments.
