Sažetak
The transversal profiles of the bed of the river Sava were investigated near Jesenice on Dolenjsko, Oborovo and Tišina. These stations differ considerably in the speed of the river flow, in the substratum of the bed, and in pollution with waste materials. In connection with these differences, quantitative and qualitative differences in the makeup of the macrozoobenthos between the points on the same transversal profiles and also between stations were established. On the basis of a detailed analysis of the population of Oligo-chaeta, which is the group of macrozoobenthos most numerous in individuals and species, it is possible to draw conclusions about the differences in the degree of pollution with waste materials at particular stations
